The Borno Emirate Concerned Citizen Forum (BECCF)

Our Story

The Borno Emirate Concerned Citizen Forum (BECCF) is comprised of indigenous and respected people who have a strong passion for building and promoting the rich culture of the Kanem Borno Empire comprising predominantly the Kanuri tribe, but there are other major tribes like the Shuwa-Arab, Marghi, Babur-bura, Gwoza, Mandara, Chibok and the Fulani tribes among others. Known for their resilience, social cohesion, and peaceful co-existence. The BECCF serves as a vehicle through which the Kanem Borno is promoted. The Forum under the guidance of His Excellency Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, mni, FNSE, CON, the Executive Governor of Borno State is poised to bring together all Kanem Borno People under one umbrella for sustainable peace and development of the region.
